Saturday Morning Improv: World Creation
.
Does anyone remember Saturday Morning Cartoons? As a kid they were a fun, educational, and marked the beginning of the weekend, which usually involved a lot of play. The good news is that as adults we still get to play!
Our Saturday Morning Improv classes are fashioned after the same nostalgia that got Moment Improv started in 2014. They are in-person improv intensives taught by experienced and very capable teaching artists. They are fun and educational. If you are looking to level up your improv, this is where you want to be. Class topics will be on rotation and availability by demand.
It's a way for dedicated improvisors to get some deep dive training in a particular facet of improv through the Moment Improv lens.

Class Description:
World Creation: Because Space Objects Change your Improv
Using easy to grasp concepts, Sams has created an original technique for creating an improvised environment. Using his “If-then” approach to space objects will allow you to systematically create an interactive world that spawns from a single thought at the top of the scene. This approach allows your mind to slow down and allows brilliant specificity to emerge. Through exercises, drills, and techniques, Sams will provide you with the tools to create an improvised world that you will be emotionally invested in. By investing in the world you will be more grounded and your nerves will calm allowing you to play more freely. In your improv, it is the difference between being a talking head and truly experiencing the story you are telling.
